Volunteer Hub

All of our amazing volunteers are what keeps the children’s ministry here at Duplain going! Without their hard work and dedication towards the kids, none of our programming would be possible.

If you are interested in volunteering, check out all of the children’s areas below, and then fill out a volunteer application.

We are looking for nursery volunteers for Sundays during Sunday School (9:30-10:30am), as well as during our 11:00 church service. We also need some volunteers for our Wednesday night programming (6:30-8pm).

If you volunteer in the nursery, you can expect to take care of infants while their parents are able to enjoy church or other programming. We always have at least two nursery volunteers at one time. The nursery room is equipped with everything needed to ensure a smooth, enjoyable volunteering experience each and every time.

If you decide to volunteer during the Sunday School classes here at Duplain, you are able to work with either preschoolers or elementary students.

The preschool room is located at the back of Gideon Hall, and those kids are sure to keep you on your toes! You will be able to play games with the kids, sing songs, do crafts, and help them to learn about how they have a very special role in the story of God’s Kingdom.

The elementary Sunday School classes are found in the West Wing. We currently only run one Sunday School class for K-5th grade, but are looking to divide the classes by grade levels in the future. The elementary kids’ Sunday School class is focused on Biblical education, meaning you will be able to help the students dig deep into many different aspects of Scripture, such as studying entire books or taking a look at what the Bible says about specific topics or themes. Of course, there will be games, crafts, and snacks each Sunday as well.

Our Jr. Church classes are available to both preschool and elementary students during the 11:00am Sunday service.

Preschool Jr. Church begins at 11:00am, and is located back in the preschool room. Volunteers can expect to play with the kids, do crafts, read Bible stories, and have fun with the younger kids as they learn the Bible stories.

Elementary students are dismissed for their church after communion. They have a teaching lesson, as well as crafts and games. Those who help with the elementary Jr. Church can help the older students really dig into the lesson and do the accompanying activities.

Our Ignite programming takes place every Wednesday night during the school year, from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. This is available for both preschool and elementary aged students.

Preschool volunteers will experience a program full of games, crafts, Bible lesson, and snacks. There is sure to never be a boring night, as the preschoolers are always excited to come to church for Ignite.

Our elementary programming is also a blast. There is a large worship session, a large group lesson, and then many different activity rotations. Volunteers can lead groups to the different rotations, make sure kids get checked-in and checked-out, help with crafts, lead games for the kids, or teach the small group lessons. Wherever you volunteer, you are sure to have a blast during Ignite!
